About This Workbook
However you choose to implement the plan, always remember that these documents only serve as a guide. We know each child is different, so feel free to adjust as needed.
It’s For Everyone
Self-care isn’t just for some, everyone needs it! Teachers, aides, students and parents are all included in this workbook. The templates/exercises are designed to accommodate as many people/personalities as possible. Although they are categorized according to age group, they can be used for any age. In addition, they can be an extra tool to help special needs individuals with their communication and self-regulation of emotions. Just adapt the templates/exercises according to the individual’s learning style or need.
Keep It Going!
This workbook isn’t just needed when school is in session. Encourage parents to use these tools as well. Affirmations statements posted in the kitchen or “how I feel” cards can open up communication children in feeling seen and heard.
We Kept You In Mind
Keeping Costs Low
It is no secret that often schools do not have the funds to pay for art supplies, copy paper, ink, and more. Well, we’ve kept that in mind when designing these templates while also considering what you might already have around that can be used for self-care.
Digital vs. Print
We also made digital copies that are fillable for you to email as needed. These fillable PDFs are available for download at:
Our Design Layout
When possible, we designed our assets to match normal paper size and pre-existing templates. Templates with multiple pieces will be laid out to maximize paper and minimize ink.
We’re a Team
If you have feedback about any of these templates to make them even better, please share. In addition, if you have any ideas or have been successful with other self-care projects in your classroom, we’d love to hear about those too! Simply email us: Hollins@RTConnects.org
